Glenda Ryan lives 'balance by design'. As a busy mother of two children, top athlete and food technologist, Glenda jumped at the opportunity to be the senior food technologist for One Square Meal. The vision, the fit, was perfect. The challenge was huge, but for a food tech, being given a brief to create the 'perfect food', a World First nutritionally balanced meal, was an exciting prospect.
Glenda has cycle-toured through many countries including India, Nepal and Norway, is into mountain biking, the outdoors and family skiing and tramping adventures. She won the National Championship Series and South Island Cup Series titles for mountain biking in the senior women's sport class in her first season of racing back in 1993. In the years since, Glenda has continued to

compete nationally and locally in mountain bike races with podium finishes for the majority of them. She has also been involved in organising events, including being a founding organiser of the Cyclic Saga, a two day mountain bike orienteering event in Canterbury, New Zealand.
In recent years she has won her class in some of the mountain bike series held in Canterbury, and has held the Canterbury Champion title. When she made a debut into road cycling, her first road race was 'Le Race', the 100km Christchurch to Akaroa race. In this event she won her class by a convincing 20 minute margin, and in a time that placed her 3rd women overall behind two nationally ranked athletes
