None of the ingredients in One Square Meal contain novel DNA or novel protein. Soy is one ingredient often associated with genetic modification but our soy protein supplier has a rigorous protocol for ensuring it’s products are non-GM which is verified by independent third party certification.

Maize is another potential source of GM material. Our ingredients maltodextrin and starch are produced from maize but only from non-GM varieties, and our supplier has systems in place to ensure their non-GM maize is not contaminated by GM varieties as well as documentation and testing to verify this.

Apart from soy and maize there are no other potentially GM ingredients in our product as the other ingredients do not have GM options allowed for sale in New Zealand. We have however contacted all our suppliers and received GM statements from them to confirm the GM status of all our ingredients not just the ones mentioned.
